Kasol is a hamlet in the district Kullu of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River, on the way between Bhuntar and Manikaran. It is located 30 km from Bhuntar and 3.5 km from Manikaran.
Kheerganga Trek (Khir Ganga), located at a height of about 2950 m, is one of the most well-known trekking destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Located deep in the Parvati Valley, Kheerganga presents to the trekkers a wealth of memorable experiences! Kheerganga’s history is said to date back thousands of years when it was Lord Shiva’s abode. The temperature at Kheerganga Trek varies across the seasons! The weather can get extremely cold in the winters, with snow covering the landscape in glittering snow. The temperature can go up to 45 degrees during the days in summers, .i.e., late in May or early June. However, the temperature in the winters hits negative and snowfall is common. The trekker can choose to undertake the trek at any time of the year as per his or her weather preference and the trek is an attractive prospect in all weathers, for all months, whether it be in December or in May
