Leh is the heart of the Leh district and capital of Ladakh in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Leh is located in the Indus river valley at a crossroads of the old trading routes from Kashgar, Tibet, and Kashmir. Ladakh is mystical in all the spheres it covers, from nature, geography, sceneries to the modest cultures that it fosters. Right from gompas to the sensational momos, the superabundance of attractions to visit makes this city make it heaven on earth. It is said that only in Ladakh can a man sitting in the sun with his feet in the shade suffer from sunstroke and frostbite at the same time. Ladakh,is divided into two districts: district Leh, and district Kargil. The former district has a popular town “Leh”and is a great tourist attraction because of its beautiful monasteries, picturesque locations, and interesting markets defining the culture of the place. 3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrival Leh, meet our representative he will guide you to the Hotel in Leh. Rest of the day free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening take a walk to the local bazaar and explore Leh. Overnight at Hotel in Leh.
After breakfast, drive towards Leh, en-route visiting the 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh- a UNESCO listed heritage site. Thereafter, visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Hill Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel in Leh.
In morning proceed to Nubra Valley via the World Highest Motor-able road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive at Hunder & check in at Hotel/Camps. Later visit Diskit Village & enjoy the Camel ride on sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel/Camp.
After breakfast proceed for Pangong. This route takes the visitor past the picturesque villages of Shey and Thikse, and turns off the Indus valley by the side valley of Chemrey and Sakti. After reach check-in at camp. Evening relax, Dinner & Overnight at Camp
After breakfast, check out, east to the Leh after crossing Changla Pass (17500ft) and driving via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh and perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its color 4 – 5 times a day. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel/Camp.
Today morning is to Relax at Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Leh City which includes Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Overnight stay & dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast Leave for Leh airport to board your flight to back home.
