Thekkady is the location of the Periyar National Park, which is an important tourist attraction in the Kerala state of India.

Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state.Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak.

Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It’s best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons.

Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach.

Kochi (also known as Cochin) is a city in southwest India’s coastal Kerala state. It has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use for centuries.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kochi

Arrive at Cochin. Check-in to the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may go out and explore local markets and indulge in local food there (on your own expense). Return to your hotel in the evening and have a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2Kochi - Munnar

After breakfast, check-out of the hotel. Proceed for a sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets . In the afternoon, you will head for Munnar. On the way stop at a restaurant for lunch (On your own). Enroute you can visit Chiapara Water fall and Spice garden. On arrival at Munnar, check-into the hotel and relax. You may go to visit the local market in the evening (on your own). Return to the hotel and have a overnight stay.

Day 3Munnar

After Breakfast,check-out of the hotel. Proceed for a sightseeing tour of Munnar where we shall cover Tata Tea Museum, Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Old Munnar Town and the town market. In Evening, return back to hotel. NOTE: Eravikulam National Park remain closed from January-March due to the calving season of Nilgiri Tahr Tata Tea Museum will remain closed on Monday.

Day 4Munnar - Thekkady

After breakfast and check-out , we shall proceed forward to Thekkady. Experiencing the eye binding attractions of route, we shall reach Thekkady by noon. You may opt for Periyar Boat Ride (Entrance fee not included) and indulge yourself in many activities like watching Kathakali and Kalari (Martial Art) (At your own). You can do some shopping as Thekkady is very famous for it’s spices. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 5Thekkady - Alleppey

After Breakfast, we shall move forward to Alleppey to feel the Houseboat paradise of Kerala. Post check in, rest of the day will be there on leisure where one can enjoy the local serenity while taking a leisure walk. Overnight accommodation will be in Hotel. (You may chose to stay on Houseboat at an additional cost).

Day 6Alleppey - Kovalam

On this day, after breakfast, check-out of the hotel at Kumarakom and drive to Kovalam. Once you reach Trivandrum, stop at a good restaurant for lunch. Later, visit the Napier Museum(closed on Mondays). In the evening, head towards Kovalam- the Paradise of South India. Situated 16 km from the capital of Kerala, it is the perfect place for resort vacation and is widely famous for its Ayurvedic massages, yoga resorts and surfing. On arrival, check-in to the hotel and unwind yourself.

Day 7Kovalam/Poovar

After delicious Breakfast, we shall move forward for local sightseeing where we shall cover the most famous beaches like: Hawa Beach, Light House Beach, Vizhinjam Beach etc. Whole day will be there to enjoy the famous beaches. Evening will be there to enjoy the time in leisure and feel the serenity of Kovalam. Overnight accommodation will be in hotel.

Day 8Kovalam - Trivandrum

After Breakfast, will proceed to Trivandrum to board the return flight/Train.
